Who Are We?
Lionheart Radio is your local community radio station, which
broadcasts all day, every day on 107.3FM & online via
www.lionheartradio.com
.
Our entire output is generated by local volunteers, who give up
their valuable time to prepare and present programmes, conduct
interviews and produce wide-ranging content for our website.
Who We Are Looking For?
Lionheart Radio are always looking for new volunteers. At
the moment we are particularly interested in:
-
New presenters
- presenters are the lifeblood of any radio station.
Don’t worry if you haven’t done anything
like this before - you will receive full training and
support to make the programmes you want to make
-
Backroom support
- this can range from editing shows and podcasts for the
website to researching and booking interview guests,
along with more general admin work
-
Feature reporters
- as well as presenting live, we are interested in
people creating pre-recorded content. Feature reporters
research and report on local news and events, improving
the amount of information available to our listeners
Five Reasons to Get Involved:
-
Variety
- whether on or off the air, no two days are the same.
Whether interviewing a celebrity or covering a gig,
there’s always something going on
-
Community
- radio is a great way of meeting new people and giving
something back to your local community
-
Employability
- we provide training and support which will build up
your CV, giving you skills and work experience which
employers love
-
Flexibility
- our volunteers fit their shows around work or other
hobbies, and because we’re on air 24/7, there are
plenty of options as to when you broadcast
-
Fun
- whether as a distraction from the day job or something
to do after school or work, being on the radio is great
fun!
