Suzi Howey Suzi Howey

My name is ... Suzi Howey

And I became a Lionheart presenter on ... Beginning of 2010

Because ... I love talking about food and wanted to talk about local food to local people.

The best thing about Lionheart Radio is ... The other presenters, the fun & laughter I have and the sense of community I feel being part of a radio station that is dedicated to our great county.

Other than being a presenter on Lionheart Radio my claim to fame is ... Where do I start? Emmerdale, Wire in the Blood, 55 Degrees North, Changing Rooms, Weakest Link, Catwalk Challenge and a few local feature films.

Not a lot of people know that ... I flew a light aircraft into Cardiff Airport, oh blimey I don’t mean I flew it into the actual airport, hells bells no, I merely took control of it for a little time on landing – woooooooow!!!

My favourite spot in Northumberland has to be ... Seahouses Harbour, I love the smell of the lobster pots, the smell of the diesel from the trawlers and the lingering smell of fish and chips drifting down from the town centre.

My all time favourite song is ... Santana – She’s Not There

Life wouldn't be the same without ... My children.

I would spend my perfect afternoon ... Probably cooking in my kitchen with a glass of wine in hand, looking forward to a house full of friends later on that evening...

The best band I've ever seen are ... The Jam @ Studio 4 [The Tube] at the now demolished Tyne Tees Studios on City Road, when I worked there in my early years. Having said that the Bomber Tour by Motorhead was pretty amazing at the City Hall in Newcastle. I am not sure I can be doing with these huge arena tours, I prefer it more intimate.
