More funding needed
We are working on several grant applications with national funding bodies and hope to be able to secure the future of the station in the next few months. We need £62,000 per year to keep the doors open and your help with fundraising ideas is always welcome. Our thanks to this months kind supporters...
We are grateful to Alnwick Lions who have donated a fantastic
£1500 to help provide improvements to our transmission system.
We were awarded £1500 from the High Sheriff of Northumberland's "Youth Against Crime" Fund for our work with the young people of Alnwick district.
Brian Burnie, the owner of Doxford Hall, donated £200 to the project and we look forward to hearing from him on air in the not too distant future!
Alnwick Town Council have indicated that it is considering a major grant to the project - more news to follow!
Northumberland Writers Group sadly disbanded last month and the committee's parting shot was to send a cheque for £130 to Lionheart to be used for writing related radio projects.
