BERWICK Rowing Club has started training for the new season.
Club sessions are held at the Boat House, on the banks of the River Tweed when weather and tide conditions are suitable.
Juniors and beginners meet on Tuesday evenings between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
Advanced and club members meet on Thursday evenings from 6.30 pm.
There are some Saturday and Sunday outings, this is dependent on tide and weather conditions.
The club has a range of boats available from single sculls to fours and quads.
Fours are ideal for getting to grips with the basics of rowing, and quads provide a good introduction to sculling.

MARS is giving clubs and individuals the opportunity of a financial boost with the help of its Refuel Fund.
The fund, has been re-launched for 2010, has up to £10,000 to donate each month, with a maximum of £500 per applicant.
Whatever your team or club might need, the fund is offering support with anything from equipment costs, to improving training grounds and club houses.

NEW martial arts classes for adults and children have started in Morpeth.
The Riverside Leisure Centre in New Market hosts the Morpeth Ju-Jitsu Martial Arts beginners' classes on Wednesday evenings.
The sessions are led by qualified coaches, with an emphasis on good, safe introductory training.
The session for children over six runs from 7pm to 8pm, and the adult class for both men and women takes place from 8pm to 9pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

MITFORD Cricket Club wants to be bowled over by new players.
They’ve entered a team into the West Tyne League for this first time and are looking for new players to bolster numbers.
Players of all abilities are welcome to join.

NORTH Northumberland Amateur Boxing Club needs more help.
They’ve put out an appeal for more volunteers to help coach Keith MacDonald run the club.
Keith, who has been with the club for 26 years, is looking for anyone with a keen interest in boxing.
The club meets on Tuesday nights at 7pm at Hadston Community Centre.
Anyone who’d like to volunteer is welcome to come along on one of those nights.

ALNWICK Sports Development are offering sessions of indoor games for the over fifties.
The sessions run every Thursday from 10-12pm.
The activities include Badminton, Table Tennis and Short Tennis and take place at Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre.
There is a small charge of £1.50 per session.

NEW Age Kurling has a weekly league in Alnwick.
This activity is suitable for adults and those over 50 from all abilities, and is a great way to become more physically active and have fun.
The sessions take place at Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre every Wednesday from 1-3pm.
There’s a small charge of £1.50 per session.

ALNWICK Table Tennis Club meets at the Lindisfarne Sports Centre every Friday evening: Juniors 6.30pm–7.30pm and seniors 7.30pm – 9pm.
Weekly sessions are £3.50 for juniors and £5 for seniors per week.

MARTIALS Arts classes take place each week in Wooler.
William Muckleburgh, who has 25 years experience in tae kwon do, is holding classes at Glendale Hall on Tuesday nights.
Lessons start at 6.30 and are for all ages, sizes, shapes and abilities.
The first lesson will be free and then it will cost £3.50 a week.

CARAD Health Walks offer guided walks, information, support and encouragement to complete beginners and existing walkers.
All walks are led by trained Volunteer Walk Leaders who offer a friendly welcome to anyone wanting to join in.
Walks are free, just turn up wearing comfortable shoes and appropriate outdoor footwear.
Bring some change for a cup of tea at the end of the walk!
